For Your Eyes Only.

Whether you call them nickers, panties, lingerie or intimates, these sacred and often secret garments are some of the most important things you wear.

From the dainty dress to the lady boss suit, nearly everything includes these un-mentional basics that can either enhance or ruin our look (and sometimes our day). Let's be honest, our undergarments are more important than we give them credit for.

These small “for your eyes only” slivers of fabric have quite the job.

They need to be comfortable, stylish and functional. Like propping up the ladies and protecting us from bacteria, all while staying invisible (that is unless...).

I'm preaching to the choir when I say that it's rare to find undergarments that fit the bill. They might be beautiful, but more often than not, they ride up, stretch out, give you back pain, and not to mention they cost a fortune!

Hunting for the unicorn of bras and undies is difficult enough, so when you also want to find a consciously made pair… well, let’s just say your choices get pretty slim.

London College of Fashion graduates, Faith Leeves and Cindy Liberman felt the same way, which is why they began their line, Lara Intimates

Their retro-vintage inspired line of sheer mesh bras, underwear and body suits are super dreamy and are made with reclaimed fabrics.

Waste is a huge dilemma within the fashion industry, so instead of purchasing "new" textiles, they utilize the unused or mistakenly dyed fabrics in Chinese mills that would otherwise be destined for a landfill. Their no-waste objective also means that they use their own scraps of fabric as stuffing for bras.

But beyond their environmental initiatives and conscious production, Lara Intimates is made for you. They are beautiful, simple, supportive and come in a range of sizes from 28A - 36E, including half sizes so that you can find exactly the right fit for you.

They don't officially launch until September, but in the meantime, be sure to check out their Kickstarter campaign to learn more about their brand, their initiative, and to find a little something pretty for yourself. ;)
