Getting Fit Consciously.

January. The month of resolutions, resets, and goal getters. The time of year we set our alarms, stick to routine, ban excuses, and attempt to live a lifestyle that includes regular fitness and clean eating.

We all know how good staying active is for us. We also know about the food industry and how important organic sourcing is. But how many of you are aware of what we put on our bodies?

The organic food movement took swing when people realized how their food was being made, the animal treatment involved, and how in turn that affected personal health. In case you need a reminder, this booming industry and our weak will power for tasty food is a big reason behind health epidemics.

And just like the food industry, the fashion industry is in need of an overhaul.

What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.
— Jane Goodall

It can seem inconsequential on a personal level because, ‘What can fashion do to us?’ The externals like band responsibility, enforcing labor laws, and quality control is what needs to be fixed. But, what we don’t realize is that what we choose to buy and what we choose to pay, all stems from our mindsets about value and in turn dictates industry standards.

At the end of the day, we decide where this train goes.

So, as you exercise new practices in 2017, we want to encourage you to also be conscious of what goes into your closet.

And for all those who want to hit the gym this year in style, here’s some of our favorite conscious activewear brands.
